Strangers on a Train
4 April–14 May 1996
Zij-sporen / Side Tracks, Antwerp, Belgium
Side-Tracking began in a train station in Brussels. Each artist made a work in a carriage of choice. The train then travelled to several European cities.
Strangers on a Train was located in a baggage car. A central tunnel ran through the carriage constructed of concertina doorways that link carriages together. One could enter from both ends. A small gold object hung halfway along the walkway; a gilded cast of the inside of two mouths kissing.
